Gets great starts. I know it has to be frustrating seeing him in front of you when you are faster, but that's all part of racing.

He has a habit of NOT holding his lines and drift blocks, likes to block pass and never gives up an inch....The same habits as Musquin and several others...LOL@ Anderson.

You wouldn't think he would be doing so good in such a stacked field, but there he is. The guy might just be quite a bit better than most people give him credit for. He does seem to be in the middle of most of the downed riders...lol.

Doesn't change the fact that he is constantly getting into these kind of things with much faster riders as he works his way to the back. If he were slamming guys moving forward, we wouldn't be talking about it.

He should whole shot everybody because that's all they practice on so if they can get that little bonus to make some extra money but if you notice as a lap start to go through he starts to fade back just like the number 800 does. I get her shots but they can't hang on like everyone else does in progress through the race they fall back and lose positions

Friese has gotten a lot better at sx over the last 3 years.

Maybe the promoters put rocket fuel in his bike so they can get him out front and create some drama...

God why respond like this?

This is a fine example of what's been wrong with this place lately. Someone says something someone doesn't agree with, so instead of following it up with a legitimate statement and having an adult discussion about said topic, they show their ass and comeback with something a 12 year old would say. Stay classy.

Always been a good SX rider. Beat lots of guys on better equipment in the 250 ranks 4 and 5 years ago.

Everybody practices starts... Or at least they better be.

He did go forward and Anderson went back. Back to the trailer for the night.

He's a road block rider. Not hating on him just my opinion. Nothing wrong with that style it's how I race. Get a good start and do your best not to let anybody pass you, obviously within reason and not doing anything stupid or dangerous.

Because his ability on the starts greatly outweighs his ability on the rest of the track....

This

Vince is obviously a very talented guy, but if you've ever notice there are always 5 or more riders stacked up behind him. He gets the start and does not have the overall pace, but he has the widest bike in the field.

good on friese for getting starts down. If you know you're going to fall back because you can throw down times like the top guys its best to start up front

I dont get why none of these guys don't clean him out the second they get a chance. They have to know he's gonna do it to them.

He's been taken out many times. I don't necessarily like the way he rides, but if you are going to cheer for other people to be making aggressive moves (ala Anderson) out there, you can't say much about Vince. Going forward or backward, it does not matter one bit. Everybody out there is racing and doing the best that they possibly can.

He is a master of starting up front and working his way back.

I wish I'd have had start skills like that.

Ask Daniel Blair about Vince. No, not his brother Vince, bit Vince Friese. Ask him about '09 St. Louis or listen to his latest Main Event Moto show. His take on letting him start in the 1st turn is classic.
