I've always wondered why he went straight to the Factory Tent. It doesn't happen very often. The only other I can think of recently who did the same is Josh Hill. Even RC went to the PC Rig before joining the Big Rig.
The Shop
It's just the same as if AC would have just went factory outta amatures (if kawi still had a factory 250 program)
RC wamted to work with Mitch because he knew he'd get more attention, but he was paid direct from Kawasaki and had a factory bike, same with Ryan Hughes when he was with PC.
AC too, gets his check from Kawasaki, PC is Kawasakis factory team, Mitch hires a lot of riders Kawi tells him to.
The reason why he referenced PC is because Stewart was on a Kawasaki.
And the dude up there who though his comment about Reed was so smart, hey bud, Reed went to a satellite team. YOT. Remember?
Travis Pastrana
Kevin Windham went straight to Yamaha after winning Rookie of the year on a Kawasaki.
There have been several riders in the 125/250f class ride for factory teams.
Pit Row
I always thought Big James had a big part in him going straight to the factory team.
Big James was the driving force to get James in the factory rig, Kawasaki wanted to put all the new 125/250f riders in the pc rig but Big James wasn't having it` .Notice the way James was the last Kawi factory 125/250f rider.
Kevin Windham signed with Yamaha before the introduction of YoT as Yamahas Factory Satellite team. 1997 they switched from Honda to Suzuki then to Yamaha the following year.
Paul Carpenter slipped my mind! Also Andrew Short went to Honda after riding for Motorworld around the same time Davi went to Honda as well.
The reason why I started this thread was because i was reading I believe Racer X that Mitch switched to Kawasaki after team Honda refused to sign Doug Henry to the Satellite team and took him straight to the Big Rig in 1993.
