I don't have a problem with people doing such things on their own private land when they have no chance of landing on anyone else. This is America, let'er rip in those circumstances. However, like in the video you mentioned, I thought it was extremely sketchy.

you guys are probably right, but I don't want to live in the big hairy pussy world you guys envision. so fuck off and go knit a sweater. you aren't going to case anything or hurt anyone else doing that.

Bro! I'm a slow dude, and my 450 can't handle all the power I give it! Do you even lift bro?

I think that quad that Rookie White jumped could have ended so bad if he had not pulled it off. I will say that it is the most impressive thing I have ever seen on an mx track.

450s have nothing to do with it. Travis pastrana jumped over 200ft on a 125 when he was 14. He was also hitting other over 100ft gaps when he was around 16 or younger. Around the 3:50 is the 200ft jump http://youtu.be/Rh84vBJ77z8

I'm sure you can come up with a better answer than the one above that doesn't look like a fight or argument in the making.

I think the safety issue is worth discussion...and lot of it, actually. It's something that affects the sport not just immediately, but for its long-term health.

You own a track, right? Do you want to be at the mercy of your bravest (or dumbest) customer?

Oh, wait. You already are.

Yep. I have kinda shut it to the general public and have weeded out some of the dumbasses that way. I also have the property protected very well against lawsuits. No lawyer in his right mind would sue me.

It is not the bikes. People pretzel themselves on bmx.
It is just the nature of the sport. Each year the bar gets raised a little bit higher. You'll always have somebody a little bit better, a little bit crazier do something that has never been done before. And everybody that wants to stay relevant has to raise their game.

RV did mention in one of his interview (and I'm paraphrasing here since this is from memory) that with SX, you have rhythm sections that are scary that he didn't want to do, but had to to win.
