Roczen looks really really good on that Honda. He would be my pick. I think he would've been really really close last year if he could've sorted his starts out. Dungey will be tough to beat though. It's going to be one of those 2. Tomac was good at Monster Cup, but he needs to improve his consistency a lot to win the title

Either K Roc smokes em or it's gonna be a good long fight with a few guys involved IMO.

I think Webb is going to be a lot stronger than y'all think.

Ima say Webb, but we all know, Dungey already has it in the bag.

Who else can race the entire season off the podium?

I think you're right, Webb is going to be good this year.

As we all know, Dung doesn't have it in the bag until everyone else takes themselves out of the bag.

As far as that last statement....Me! Lol....I never had a problem staying "off" the podium.

Roczen has sure made a strong argument. It's hard to bet against a guy who looks that much faster on a brand-new bike in October, but then again there are a lot of factors that come into play.

It'll be Roczen all day long unless he wads up a few times. Webb will win a few but I don't think he'll be a champion in his first try. Dungey in a close 2nd for the title.

Roczen will win the 2017 Supercross and Motocross championships.

I think we are staring down the barrel of one of the greatest SX seasons in history. If Roczen, Tomac, and Dungey all stay healthy, they will be in the hunt. Then you throw Webb and Canard into that same mix. You could have a 5 person battle for the title late into the series. And don't forget about Barcia on the new bike and Musquin who has had some solid podiums last season and appears to be a contender in the making.

My bet is on Roczen but who the hell knows. This is the first time in recent memory that there are this many people that have the ability to be in the title contention.

I'm putting my money on someone that rides a dirt bike for a living.

We say that every year! One or two of them will get hurt in pre-season testing and probably not even be ready for A1. Another two will get hurt before rnd 6 and will miss significant time. Looking at you Canard. Someone else will be out hurt by rnd 10. From there you can mail in the rest of the rounds.

I predict 2017 will the the most boring year yet of SX!!

You know the only reason why the 3rd race of the MEC was any good is because Eli got a bad start and we got to watch some actual racing. Until they start paying points in the qualifiers and then invert the start order for the main event then we are going to see another year of follow the leader. Too much importance is put on the start relegating the rest of the 20 laps uneventful in the 450 class.

Davi Millsaps! Joking.

Or maybe not. Davi is really good in SX, the KTM is awesome, and he's heathly.

I still think RD5 is still the man. Too fast and too damn consistent.

Isn't he going to be riding for the OTSFF Rockstar Yamaha team? Or is that only for the Canadian AX series?

As someone already stated, if you assume all the contenders remain fairly healthy, I believe there will tons of competition. We know this will not happen, so it's anyone's guess. If you look at recent years and take consistency, no significant injuries, fairly consistent starts, etc. Dungey would be very hard to beat.

With that said, Roczen is still becoming more consistent and he does look great and incredibly fast on the Honda. If Tomac can get consistent top 5 or 6 starts, he has the speed to keep up. Musquin is getting better every year and he looked great at the MEC. Anderson and Sealy are also 2 more that have outside chances. I also feel Webb will contend for podiums and maybe a few wins, but not for a championship this year. Another huge sleeper if he can get back close to 100% Gajser. He looks incredibly good imo.

Roczen
Dungey
Tomac
Anderson
Musquin
Sealy
Gajser
Webb

Should be fun to watch.
