Mark Barnett, when I first started following mx he was one of the top guys and from IL. I got his autograph at the St. Louis Super X one year on the gas tank of my 81 RM125. He offered me a cylinder for it, but I never took him up on it.

I've been around this sport for so long it's hard to have a favorite and just pick one. So many unique styles, qualities, work ethic, accomplishments, and personality traits.

Damon Bradshaw...because he was cool as crap and he raced a YZ80 just like I did at the time.

A close second would be my hometown hero Timmy Ferry because he used lo lap me at the Saturday night races Lockhart stadium in the 80 class. He gated first in mini A and my mini B class gated second on the split start so I was lapped by the fast kids every time.

I have a few:

- Bob Hannah
- Johnny O' Mara
- Ricky Johnson
- RC
- Canard and Tomac

Bob Hannah and Decoster were my dad's favorite rider and my dad had a pretty big influence on me when I was a tike. Johnny'O had style for days and was cool. RJ rode aggresive, determined, and was the media darling. Still my all time favorite. RC was a beast. Canard for his never quitting attitude, his commitment to excellence and fans. Tomac is a beast.

It's an easy answer, but Kdub. Not only for the off the track stuff, but just pure riding ability, and specifically, body position. I could watch that cat ride all day long.

Guy Cooper. He always had a great attitude and stayed late for the fans and the dude just flat out went apeshit on a scooter!

My friend #481 Jerry Berlin.

Rode balls out against some big names in the 70s including Jeff Ward on XR75s.

Let me ride his practice bikes when I wished I had my own.

Windham. . . No bigger crowd pleaser. Good racer, technical rider, good father, good husband, and good with the fans.

Ben Townley. He was so good when riding for Red Bull KTM in the GPs. Always liked his style.
When he took the boat over he did exactly what was expected. Bummer his carreer did'nt last longer.

Jeff Ward just because he kicked ass and still can. Present would be Tomac. I like Ken as well too.

I usually don't talk about my favorite rider and I'm probably going to shock some people, but it's Cole Seely.

Also like Trey he's badass and I was a huge Tortelli fan!

RC. I raced at Dade City when he started on 3 wheelers. He was such a cool little kid. Then watching him grow up into becoming the GOAT. It was fun to see that. Of all the attributes RC had, the most often overlooked was his ability to find new, cleaner lines. RC saw all the different lines possible on the track before they wore in. One of a kind.

K Dub and Nick Wey.

Style (both), Off-Track behavior (both), and killer sense of humor (Wey).

Bob Hannah then Ricky Carmichael and now Trey Canard. Because they all had that certain kind of style. I would also like to point out I picked these guys BEFORE they were well known.

1). Always raced clean.
2). Always nice to everyone, fans, press, fellow racers.
3). Tells it like it is with wisdom and tact.
4). Made a video where all he did was 75 superman seat grabs.
