Tons of respect to Cody Cooper. Guy comes in off the Pacific trade winds all the way from NZ, then runs near the front and gets a top 15 in moto 1? What a savage.

Does he race GPs or Aus? Maybe I'm out of the loop, but he's never made my radar and I don't know anything about him.

First over there in 07 ish... Rode for JGR and a few privateer rides.

Multi-Aus/NZ champ, came to prominence hounding the King Brothers as a young bloke.

Can ride, very quiet.

Ah cool. I would think I'd remember a JGR rider, but I guess not. Yeah the guy can ride for sure.

"Stewart’s magical mystery winning tour continued, with the biggest challenge to “The Streak” coming from Suzuki City privateer Cody Cooper in the slop and mud of Unadilla. In the second moto, with the rain coming down, Cooper caught Stewart (helped out by a Stewart tip-over) and pressured him hard all the way to the end. But the streak did live on."

He can seriously ride ! and is extremly good in wet rutted conditions, i remember him back in the early 2000's in Australia at the natural terrain "thumpernats" and was extremly impressive even then!

2nd overall that day I think, and he got a fair few overalls in the top 5 and top 10 over a couple of US seasons.

5th in the US 450 series in 2008, 9th in 2009.

Not sure how old he is, but Kiwis do tend to stay bloody competitive for quite a while. Ratbag Bastards, the lot of them! Whistling

he won a aussie 125 title, and a fair few overalls on 450's but to be . fair, the last years on Honda's were not that good in Aussie, but know one else has been good on Yarrive's 450's outdoors either, (except BT when he turned up)

Coops is 33, had been our MX1 champ for 5 years now,

also Rhys Carter raced on a KX450F, went 16-18 to match Coop's point overalls, great ride by him,

the Best commentary that day was BT, who was being interviewed by the webcast team only to say he had to go to cheer Cody on, the two of them have raced each other since they were 8 years old and are still very good friends,

Cody Cooper was awesome to watch in the 2008 series on that Suzuki City bike.
