We are camping Friday through Sunday. First time at Muddy Creek and would like to know what the set up there is. Are there separate areas for racers, family, partying? Can you pick a spot or do they park you as you arrive?

There is a preferred camping section (more families) and then just the open camping section. They let you pick your spot and fetch a tent anywhere youd like. Most dont start showing up until Saturday so youll have a good selection going up Friday.

Thanks. Pretty sure I saw some where the preferred section is sold out. We are going to just pitch a tent anyways. If there is a crazy partying section (Redbud party zone) we like to be just on the edge of it. I camped many years at Unadilla in the early 80's so not much gets too crazy anymore.

I was thinking of going.

Actually, I should be there by noon or 1:00 tomorrow.

Im going. its gonna be a scorcher. Not sure what the heat index will be....but its HOT. Walking out to the car this morning at 6 AM felt like a heat wave hit me.

In all seriousness, riders and spectators really need to hydrate well starting tomorrow and keep a close eye on each other. The heat and humidity are bad right now.

I will be drinking plenty of liquids but they probably won't keep me hydrated. It's only going to be about 4 degrees warmer than up here in New York so we will see how bad the humidity kicks my northern butt.

I live in eastern Kentucky, so I can already hear the banjos lol. I'm an hour and a half away. Look for a pink Floyd t shirt, and odds are it's me.

Deliverance was filmed in Georgia! Rabun County I believe. Tennessee hillbillies are friendlier it seems.

This man knows what he's talking about. Deliverance was filmed mostly in Georgia and North Carolina. Tennessee hillbillies are more likely to be into dirt bikes.

There isn't many places in that valley I haven't left skin.

The track in the 80s would been the best for a national, most of it is buried under the pro pit area.

There was a saw mill nearby and they would dump tons of black sawdust on the track to a depth of 4 feet. It was like sand whoops but just gnarlier.

I won't post a pic, but look for a black pink Floyd shirt and it's probably me, since all I own are black pink Floyd shirts lol. I'll probably be chain smoking menthols as well, so I'm easy to spot.

Do any of you folks need a ticket?

I had a pretty bad crash a couple weeks ago and I haven't recovered enough to make it to the race. Sad

It's a Bomber Club ticket that includes admission (Thursday - Sunday) and an all day Pit Pass. I'll send it for free to anyone that can use it (except for legswag Evil ).
