Genuinely just curious as to how many of us started down this road on the mighty pw50.

Started on a Gemini 80, like 1977 model. Crashed it straight into the side of a shed the first day I rode cause i freaked out and grabbed a hand full of throttle instead of brake... LOL.

Started my son on the Yamaha's best selling bike of all time, the bullet proof PW50.
Moved on to, PW80, KTM65, KX65, YZ85, YZ125, YZ250F, YZ125, presently SX350. And a few pit bikes in the mix. The YZ250f was by far the most expensive because it blew up so often. The YZ125 by far the least expensive to own (aside from the PWs)

Had both the pw50 and the suzuki jr50 liked the jr50 better because it had rear foot brake like the bigger bikes.

JR50, pw50, pw80, LT80, Blaster, KTM450, YFZ450R.

A couple sleds, a Z750, ZX-6 and a Z1000 while I was out west, and my first street bike. My 1991 TS200R 200cc 2-stroke street legal dual sport.

A minibike with front suspension and a 3.5 hp tecumseh engine in 1976 to a 1978 RM50. Too many to count since then.

From 1990 to 2015 at the ranch. The gear combo and bike set up was totally random.

And now I got a basket case in the garage I’m going to start building for my son (he’s barely 2 but dad is to excited to have a riding buddy)

Same here. Thrashed that thing around for 6 months before my parents got me a KX80.

Started on a JR, but my second and third bikes were PW's.

1974 Honda Z50 for me. It was yellow, would smoke like crazy, but only sometimes.

PW50's are the best things ever. You could thrash those things and they just keep on chugging

1981 Yzinger! The original PW50. I bought my son his first one in 2005 and was cracking up how the only real difference was the color of the plastics. Still own both of them.

You lot were spoilt, I had a hand me down Honda C50 (or nobber 50 as we call them in the UK) happy times. Thing lasted for years with maximum abuse. In fact I've never known one break !

QR50 here, then my dad not knowing he was doing he got me a DS80 thinking it would be faster than a KX60 I was pretty dissapointed at the time but I thrashed that thing only for a year then one day he brought home a fresh KX80.... oh my god that was the best day of my life...
