I get this odd sensation when I read Vital these days- it's just like mototalk a few years back.

But anywhere people can get together and share their love of moto is a good place. The board wars, whether MT v. Fresh Dirt and the evolutions to Motodrive and now Vital, are a bunch of horseshit an always have been.
The Shop
Physics of the seat-bounce, can an airplane take off on a conveyor belt?, national anthem /prayers before races, 9/11-Iraq, blah, blah blah. Lots of fun. Teefus was fun for a while, and I really respect what he did to get things moving, even if it got a little ugly after he burned-out.
This place seems more democratic.
God damn.....MCM2 days.....those nights were something I'll never forget! Never played a racing game again that matched those 400+ racers at the zone , tearing it up until dawn!
What's that?
The gas card, sponsoring dowd for a race and some of the other things that went on made you feel more connected with the sport even from the other side if the world
I met some awesome people from that board, some I still keep in touch with today
There are a few regulars who´ve disappeared though. SlaveO, 309, knobby.... Anyone know what they are up to? Marc De Reuver used to have some funny things to say before and after the 2005 GP at Desert Martin when he waved on Alessi. Good times
But like Tom P always said,"free is a very good price".
Bruhn vs Sellards was always entertaining.
Pit Row
MT was fun, and for a while way ahead of the curve- especially with content provided by TFS, Scavo, and video clips from BobbyM's poolsupplies server.
My best takeaway from there was when I ended up hosting David "ayearinmx" Bulmer for a night on his cross-country tour.

By 309 you mean 409 / Roddy MacCleod. He moved from Germany to the States a few years back and lives in NC. Unfortunately he doesn't shoot much moto anymore.
Knobby is still around and kicking and on this board too.
My board-buddy dougie kept trying to get me to join a new rouge board called Motodrive.
It seemed like a wild place compared to MT, so I resisted joining for quite a while.
I have always been "Highsider".
Have to admit, to this day I still get a little chuckle thinking about the melt down of TFS. Talk about classic mototalk!
I chose my my sig quote as a way to honor and never forget the once all knowing Teefus...
