What's the point? That poor bike got tied down years ago, hasn't been touched since. Probably won't get taken out the bed until he sells the truck

It's a Specialized dropper. I like it when I need it, but to be honest, I don't use it very often. The bike does ride in the back of the truck all summer, is subjected to sun, heat, thunderstorms, etc. The cable does get a bit gummy, and hard to operate.
