Ok so I've tried several brands of graphics for my 05 YZ250, including custom ones but they all look the same. Inspired by Dusty Klatt, I've decided to do a complete remake inspired by past YZ race bikes. I've ruled out the yellow/black look (I know I know, that's the classic look, but it'll feel like a Suzuki to me) so here's my top choices:

I'm leaning towards the 1994 Jeff Emig replica look. That's when I first started riding Yamahas and I remember how awesome it looked with his blue, yellow and red thor gear.

I think a two stroke done up like dusty's bike would look Badass. Whatever you choose please post pictures during the build!

That's what I'm leaning towards but I'm having a hard time finding a purple seat. Won't be complete without the purple seat.

Looks like Dusty was using a blue seat. Unsure

Im a fan of that noleen bike. Either that or the white/red bike. The noleen bike could be done well pretty easily, but I would opt for a blue frame instead of the purple

I'm with you, I love the noleen bikes too. And I actually think that one might be easier to do because I can just get a honda seat cover (that doesn't say honda obviously but in red). Other than that I don't know how to get a flo red seat cover for a yamaha.

This is the look you want man, white and red, always my favourite, maybe even with some black rims

The 92 and 93 team graphics were sweet!

Klatt's bike is awesome! Are there any better pictures available of it?! Also, the 125 posted above is bad ass, too. I'd love to do something cool like a mid 90s theme with one of my Yamahas.

1980 YZ125/250G..... ahhhh...... the wonderful air-cooled yellow and black years....

@RandyS, found this site that got me thinking about going WAY back, even using a graphic scheme from road or trail bikes: Old Graphics

@mx757, thanks for the tip! That would work great with a red seat for the noleen bike.

@motodrew295, I was actually going for the 1996-1997 look with that option where they used navy blue instead of bright blue. I really liked KW and John Dowd's 125s in those years.
