Like the title implies, how do you all feel about these races so far? Personally I don't like them. The racing seems to drag out, the tracks are downright dangerous, and the lapped traffic is crazy! I think they need to restructure thee entire night show. Maybe go back to two heat races, ditch the semi races, and shorten the main, or make multiple main events?? I like the idea of two mains, but from an outside viewer, it's hard to explain the points of a two moto format. We are a third of the way into the series, just seeing what your opinions are.

As a fan, I like it. If I were a rider, I would hate it.

I'm enjoying it - feel like it's provided a ton of great racing in the last few minutes of each main.

I think it would help as Matthes has said, bring in more dirt, or allow more time for track maintenance. As is, the tracks are breaking down so bad they aren't allowing good racing, and last night, most of the corners were bare concrete

I'm a fan. And it really helps guys like Tomac who don't always start up front.

If there's good racing, it's awesome (see San Diego, Glendale, Oakland).

If it's a runaway, it gets pretty boring

Anyone notice the tracks seem smaller and are breaking down more???

If I was a betting man Feld decided to go to a timed race in order to use less dirt, lowering cost, and making it seem like the amount f racing has not lessened to the buying public.

Just my opinion

There's nothing better than a two Moto format. Just like the monster energy cup. It's not confusing, we do it in the outdoors. If you're waiting to see that Dungey and Tomac battle, or any two top riders, well they're in separate heats most of the time, so, you wait through all the qualifying and once the main event comes, Dungey gets a good start and tomac is back in 10th and the friggin race is over… At least with two Moto's, they get a second shot, WE AS FANS get a second shot at seeing another battle in an additional race.

To an outsider, there is nothing more confusing then heats, semis, lcq, now timed main events? And the 450s are the only ones with semis?
Just explaining the difference between the 250s and 450s is confusing enough, believe I would know, I've had to explain this stuff my whole life to people. 2 Moto mains for both classes is the way to go

I like it, it makes sense for tv, it's great for spectators. That being said, i like it when lap times are closer to the 1 minute mark, but tracks with mid to high 40 second lap times are ridiculous, even low 50 seconds. Phoenix was a great track and layout with amazing racing throughout the entire night and they had approx 1 minute lap times, Minneapolis was a small, tight, short, one lined 47 second track. Both races were in newer football stadiums, but had completely different racing and feel.

The lap times are consistent with what we see every year so I don't think they are using less dirt. The tracks are breaking down more because they're doing more laps in the mains.

I love it! It's finally some indoor races that push the fitness levels. 20min+ 1 lap on some of those tracks have to be getting the heart rate up for a while.

Timed races....big fan!

It's great! For safety's sake, having lap times close to a minute would be better. and if they're getting down to the cement and plywood bring in more dirt. It's too freaking dangerous to get down to the asphalt.

As a fan more is better.

For Tomac, he probably wants 5 more minutes.

He would have lapped into the top 5 with 5 more minutes

It's cool seeing passing late in the race but the lappers are unbelievably f*cked. The tracks have problematic in some areas this year. Minneapolis was definitely too short of a lap time, it looked like an AX track and was beat real bad by the time the mains rolled around. Hopefully the tracks get better.

I like it, some cities got screwed just because the stadium didn't allow for as big as a track as others, makes it more consistent. I don't like that Feld never even considered the fact that the riders would be doing more laps (at most venues) thus the track is gonna break down more.

The best thing that has happened in SX in years. The extra laps have made the racing better.

On a good track and good racing then it's great.

On bad designed track and no passing then it sucks.

From a viewing perspective I like it a lot. I do think they need to compensate for the added time-on-track with extra dirt. When you can see plywood and concrete in more than one or two spots it's time to call the checkers.

I love it. Tracks are getting rough and that is a good thing.

They just need more dirt.

Love the timed mains, hate the tiny tracks. It is also evident that the lawyers have run amok when the track generally gets no where near the seats and the first 10 rows (or more) are blocked off.

I like the longer races. But if the concept of a timed race is too complicated for people to understand (I really don't get how that is possible), Field could declare the number of laps after practice. If the fastest qualifying time is 50s, the race would be 24 laps. If it's 52.17, the race would be 23 laps. The races would still be ~20min, and everyone would know know the number of laps le

I like it. It really separates the men from the boys. Top guys lapping almost everyone makes for good racing.

I like the timed format. I don't think the track crew was prepared for the added wear and tear. It's unusual to see so much floor exposed.
I'd like a two moto format but I don't think there is time in a three hour made for TV event even if you eliminated semis.
No way they would extend the schedule. And the riders would probably hate the added time. I remember as a fan I loved two day Moto events then bubba started only showing up Sunday.
I always thought they put the semis in to give a top rider three chances to get in. Like when Villapoto didn't qualify that was bad for fans too.
