What's up with Townley?

I was gonna post the same question, i didn't see cody cooper on there either.

Who crashed Cooper or Townley?

He crashed right in front of me today during practice.. He went down real hard and limped off the track it was ugly.. But he did come out for the qual time practice.

I think Townley is in for a long crash filled season. I honestly think he is suprised by the fast pace of more than 1 consistent rider. Last year he just had RV who ran a blistering pace throughout the entore moto. There are about 8 guys who can run a good pace in the 450 class the entire moto. Now, he is trying to hard and making mistakes. That, and he has a lot of pressure to deliver the goods from the fans AND Honda. They did not hire him to run with Short and Milsaps. They hired him to run with JS. He knows that and is really feeling the pressure. Especially since he did not even get to race the Supercross season due to injury. He probably feels like he really has to deliver now.

Most of these guy's are self motivated..........plus townley is 23......he know's what's up.

Isn't Townley known for not pushing it very hard during practice?

I was over on the little road that goes by the nasty ass pond so I saw it from the side/back. Did his bike take him out? That what it looked like from my angle. Really ugly.

Randy when he came down that hill to jump across that spot he when front end first and he just swapped hard after that and slammed the ground hard.. I was right in front of him he was coming towards where I was standing he hit hard and was hurting bad it seemed.. But he came out second practice but looked hesitant in that spot..

His bike did a beautiful twisting flip though. It looked like his bike tagged him as it went past, I only caught the second half.

i think everyone hyped up townley way too much and he will not post up as good of results as expected

I totally agree with you here. This is exactly what I expected from Townley. Lots of people around here thought he was going to battle bubba or be number two, but I just don't see that happening. Not this year.

The way Stewart looks right now, you'd need a blue lycra suit and a big red S on your chest to beat him.

Townley will be fine...if he can get completely healthy. He has been rolling around quite a bit during practice, though. On Saturday afternoon, it looked like he was trying to get loosened up, and then laid down a couple fast laps near the end.
