His bike looks like shit through the whoops, I don't think there is too much debate on that.

BUT is it equipment, or Millsaps not being able communicate what he needs from the suspension?

One thing for sure Kenny has his bike dialed in, that thing is on point.

Just listened to him on dmxs... He said some things are definitely not right but didn't seem to want to divulge much of anything more, did say he can see light at the end of the tunnel.

Hope like all heck it's not something with his leg or foot etc...

He talks about something not right oon DMXS but honestly sounds odd and gets them to move on from the topic... but doesn't really elude to any if the details..

A whole year away from racing makes a difference. I think the MEC win was a little bit of luck plus some key competition being missing. Millsaps has a history of mediocre results followed by vague excuses. See his Honda years for proof.

I think Kawi is gonna be in a slump for the next couple of years until AC moves up (if the kid can stay healthy) or unless they manage to hire away a top guy. Sort of like when McGrath left Honda after '96.

I think it's excuses. If Villopoto was on that bike, we'd all be saying how dialed in that bike is, how fast it is etc.....

Mmmm... If you go back and look at the last few seasons, RV started 14, 13 and 11 saying he was working on stuff on the bike, pretty consistently and wasn't happy or really clicking till later in. 12 he was good from the get go bike wise...

I agree with this, and to add to it i think people are basing their expectations for him off of that MEC win when there were a lot of different variables going on at that event that have changed when it comes to racing. Canard was dominating the MEC but no one seems to be mentioning his results in the last 3 races. KTM guys are on a better bike now, Roczen wasn’t there, and it was in October, most of the guys were just getting back into riding after taking a break after the MX season. I'm sure that most guys didn’t want to ride that edge at the MEC and risk ruining their SX season. Millsaps was the freshest rider going into that event. Fast forward now to this race season and now everyone else has caught up and passed him.

its nothing to do with his body or fitness.
its obvious,he doesn't want to go into details.

Why do riders, when there is an obvious question that is going to be asked of them that they DO NOT want to answer....do interviews anyways?

That could be it...I'm sure it's been a struggle to get Kawi to change the bike much from Villo's setup...but Davey rides a very different style...I think they'll work it out. Seems he looks good in the beginning and kinda fights the bike and fades....thinking suspension problems.

Just listened to the DMXS interview. That guy is just miserable. He's like a chic on permanent PMS.

Just glad he never raced the KTM because everyone would be up in arms about how the KTM killed his career

Sounds like he might have a health issue, from MXA

(4) MILLSAPS’ SEASON: This season there have been ten 450 semis with 10 different winners. Davi Millsaps joined the list in Anaheim III and it was the highlight of his day…and perhaps the highlight of his season. Kawasaki alluded to the fact that Davi entered the season with “health issues” that they knew would take him “four or five races” to come back to from. It is obviously going to take much longer as the only factory rider that Davi beat at A3 was…well, he didn’t beat anyone with a full-boat works ride. And he didn’t make the top ten (finishing 11th behind a revitalized Josh Hill for 11th, but in front of Short, Friese, Chisholm and Weimer).
