I understand it's a huge convenience to have electronic start on a bike and a advantage to be able to start fast as possible in a race with a stall or wreck. And estart is awesome for off road guys. But for the avarge weekend motocross rider, why does people bitch so bad that a motocross bike doesn't come with e start? It less things to maintain and go wrong and a cheaper msrp. If you're riding motocross, it takes how much physical effect to ride so how is just starting the bike with a kicker that bad? People complained about fourstrokes being to easy to ride yet they want electric start? and for the off-road guys that really benefit with estart. Most fx models come with estart. So why does the mx bikes HAVE to have estart? Like the new crf's. get a rx or just kick the thing.
As far as why a bike "HAS" to have it - KTM and Husky have them across the board right out of the box, which is an immediate advantage for whomever is riding that bike over their competitors who do not have it. Just my 2cents..
The Shop
I can't wait to see what the next fabricated thing to bitch about is.....
If on a 2 stroke its because you're just lazy.
I remember when EFI 2 strokes hit the market in 1992 OEM.
The 1st aftermarket part was deleting the battery.
Next year it was OEM also.
Pit Row
On the trail or track, I wish I had it! Oh, and Peelout, no problem with sprocket bolts on that thing, just the axle nut (a time or two).
So, for me in my situation and maybe others here who have problems with hips/backs/knees etc then YES, it's a big deal.
I think he was thinking the same thing as the OP
Nothing more to say...
