In about 2001 he showed up to a harescramble I was racing, just for shits & giggles he lined up in the AA-Pro class on a 125 and smoked our regular Pros like it was childs play. On a tiddler !
Mike worked a few different jobs since he quit racing,Volvo car company,the Cannondale project and now he works for Colt Firearms,He still rides dirtbikes,Mostly trail riding these days.It was great to see him at the Reunion.

Here is a funny story from the NESC reunion,the guy at the far left in the photo with Mike Guerra in it is Mike's friend Kyle,For most of the time at the reunion he had Jimmy Ellis on his name tag,Some people thought he was the real Jimmy Ellis,lol,He looks nothing like Jimmy.They came up to him shaking his hand and talking about how they were fans of his.Kyle let them go a little while then he told them the truth.
