He would be a hero, and would be praised.

That's just how it is, someone could flat out punt Alessi 6 miles outside of the stadium and we would hear cheers. I like Mike as a person, but his actions on the track have not helped the fans' opinion of him.

I had the same thought, would he have gotten black flagged if it weren't involving such a beloved rider as Canard?

Exactley ... i have no problem with Canard as a rider , but just because he is the poster boy for the Loward, doesnt mean he should get special protection ...if it was Alessi , not a thing would have happened

Alessi has a history of some shady riding and tactics. Canard doesn't. . . Not saying that the penalty should be any different but the opinion would be different. I didn't like the DQ. I think a fine would have been enough but as far as penalty enforcement is concerned, the penalty should be consistent from rider to rider.

What if Alessi was Canard and Hansen was Reed. My bad....Hansen doesn't race 450f's. What if Alessi stepped down to the lites class and Hansen raced the GP's and beat Herlings straight up for the Championship while RV struggles to finish in the top 8 in the 450f class. Or what if Reed and Canard became Mormons and formed a team together called...For Christ's Sake.

I'm not religious, I'm Aussie, know the Reeds, and knew Chad when he was just a local lapping me at club days.
I'm still disappointed.
