2016 was his rookie US 450 season. Some good, some bad.

What will we see in 2017? We all know that he can go faster than all the other riders when it comes to one lap. Will he be a constant top 10 guy? Top 5? Even some podiums?

I think he will be one of the most interesting riders to watch next year if he have had a healthy off season.

Based on his resumé he could very well win a main event right after a top 10 the previous week

Lots of talent and a total unknown

If he is anything like he was last year hell set a couple heaters in practice, do good in his heats and then if he isnt out front first couple laps in the main hell just roll around.

Have a sandwich at some point. Maybe a Croque Monsieur. Probably sleep some. Ride his dirt bike pretty consistently.
Those are the first three three things that come to mind.

Top 3-5 outdoors again with a win at unadilla. Indoors who knows. If he holeshots then he could run away with it and make it look like a walk in the park. Maybe he won't. Best riding style /technique in the sport. Poetry in motion to watch

He doesn't battle with anyone. The second someone starts to race him, he throws in the towel. With that mentality a top 5 would as good as a win for him

He will qualify well and set some great lap times in the heats, then in the main get a bad start and finish around 10-15th

Not really questioning his speed cause he showed in qualifying last year he can do the fastest lap at any track. However does anyone else think it's odd the videos he posts on IG are of him training on what looks like a beat up supercross track. Not beat up as in good to wear you out like a motocross track. But beat up like it's in someone's back yard and not really maintained. Compared to what the other factory riders train on.

Personally, I don't think he seems very comfortable on the Husky. Could just be the 450, but I hope they've been working on set up and getting him more confident.

Except for Washougal you mean? CP was pushing hard and starting to feel comfortable and he went down hard in that 1st moto. He was man enough to line back up for the 2nd moto after that wreck. My respect level went way up for that guy after that. I aint ever going to question that guys heart after what I saw. You guys can bag on him as much as you like I guess. For me , I know what I saw and I'll never discredit that dude. And then you have a guy who makes millions , that doesn't show up for the 2nd moto because he has blisters on his hands. ok.

Hopefully CP can stay where he's at. Seems like he's had a good season.

He will perform at exactly the level he decides like he always does. He will probably surprise more than a few.

Lets not forget How he routed RV in SX back in Arizona when #2 was the shit in the lites days. That was before his big injury, and since then he continually works his way back into a racing mindset. He is methodical, and his methodology has been steadily working in his favor. Look at his finishes as they steadily improve while he, free of major injury, rebuilds his mind and body. CP has spirit so no doubt, and this year I predict he will win 3 races. If he wins three out of the first five he will go on to be the champion.

Booya!

You never know with Pourcel. But you have to agree that it is unreal and amazing how effortless he seems to ride. I remember a race in Unadilla on his 250 days where he found lines that most people couldn't even think of. I remember Bagget saying that he studied old races with pourcel in it to be more creative with line choices etc. A mxgp race in materly basin always sticks to my mind, where he was riding on a Kawi 450 and was literally riding over grass spots to avoid the huge ruts it had.

I'm surprised his Insta lacks jetski clips!
