I.... don't get it.

Is he trying to be funny? Is he trying to hide his digs within humor? Does anyone care?

I didn't even open the link or look at MXA today yet and I knew it was going to be a Jody article. Jody is a joke, I'm sorry

Those yellow track sticks look sharp on each end.

X2! The time wasted to construct that article will be time he never gets back. Which is his norm.

I would pay an outstanding amount of money to see Kanya (spelling?!) try top get around a supercross track on a worked 450 with no helmet on as the drunk section launch bottles at him.. Just saying.. The rest of this read was wasted time I'll never get back hahaha

He is the grumpy old man who wants everyone off his lawn of our sport. To be honest tho, I kinda agree with the sponsored drinking section. I love to smash beers and watch badass dirt bike racing, but not in a stadium where I'm forced to sit around a bunch of jackasses.

I don't understand all the dislike I see on Vital toward Jody. It seems like a lot of it is just following the crowd. Like your cool if you think he's a douche.

He is opinionated and sarcastic. He's also very knowledgeable and passionate about the sport and the people involved in it. He's made a lot of positive contributions over the years. That wasn't one of his best articles but I've enjoyed a lot of the stuff he and MXA have put out over the years.

Jody hates the chase format concept for SX, but if two strokes were out there instead of four strokes he wouldnt give a damn if it was using the chase format.... SmileSmile

It is possible to just not enjoy an article, it has nothing to do with him personally. Some people just don't find it funny.

It was not funny to me in any way. The whole motocross action crew is just extremely pessimistic. Case in point:

They have been beating the same drum for a very long time now.

I actually enjoy their cynical smart ass humor lol Probably because I've been reading MXA for 35 years lol. I vote for the drunk section except they should have it in rider/industry seating...Then the drunks can interact with the movers and shakers of the sport directly ...... No bottle throwing though..that's dangerous...... SX is a safe family sport Wink

This article explains there is a link between having higher intelligence and a sense of humor. This IMO is especially true with sarcasm.

They could have saved time and just looked at Vital to come to the same conclusion. (for those of you humor challenged that was my attempt at sarcasm)

Does that still apply if there are multiple grammatical errors per article?

The older I get the more I appreciate his take on stuff. Whether it's tongue in cheek, negative, or a serious topic, he's got a unique style of delivering that message. Somehow I've never heard of Richard Ira Bong, but now I have. If you don't know who he is, it's worth looking up.
