He's on Showa components, which are selling black forks this year for kit components. The rest of the team is on KYB components.

Just saw that on IG.

Best looking Geico bikes in years. Very clean and trick looking, especially with the black forks.

Curious to what kinda influence dv12 has on Craig this year. I know dv isn't part of the team or has any say on what parts they use.... but...

My guess is that the 450's are running Showa and he may be riding one soon.. Maybe that's the reason?

Don't they use a low-profile fuel cap?

No... So when Jeremy Martin joined the team, Geico Honda re-evaluated their entire chassis and handling side of things. After losing Smith, it seems like they wanted to make sure they weren't missing something. So when Jeremy came on board they let him test KYB air, spring, and some stuff from Showa (I heard they even tried WP)... Jeremy ultimately decided to stick with KYB and run spring. During this evaluation period, other riders on the team participated (I believe all of them) and Christian Craig did the same comparisons. In the end, he chose Showa twin chamber spring forks for his bike. So for 2017, most of the team will run KYB (not sure the air vs spring ratio) while Christian wants to run Showa.

Also, the production bike is using Showa, but the factory 450 squad is still using KYB PSF1 air...

They look styled very similar to the new 17 450s. Off red seat, black in the shrouds, and the red from the side panel into the shroud. The 17s have a little more white but pretty similar.
