Why do you have that number on your bike. Because your favorite rider ran it? the day you lost your Virginity? Your dogs birthday?

I run 84. It was the year I bought my first new motorcycle and really immersed myself into the motorcycle lifestyle.

321 - I requested 123 and some dyslexic dork at the CMA (Canada's FIM affiliate) gave me 321. 123 was actually available, but due to someone who had one too many, it got reversed. Too late to turn back, and the numbers I had just needed to be installed in a different order.

Why 123 ... or 321? Seemed like a natural 3 digit number to me.

#23 here, my uncle put it on my pw50 when I started riding, because he ran #23 at the time to, and it's just stuck since. I'm going to switch it up and run #512 [birthday] on the next set of pre prints I get though.

My originally assigned number (way back was 28). Can't race now, but any vintage bikes that get numbers run 75, because that was my transplant number at the center that did that bit of cut and paste (also the year I graduated from HS). No numbers on any modern bikes.

13. Was my Dad's race number when he raced boats and his birthday. I used it for years when I raced boats and have kept it in the transition to mx.

Number 234, First avaliable numbe when I started racing was 220 I didnt want that so took the next avaliable number 234.

Nearly had to change it for the first time in 10 years this year due to number allocation chaning in my state, I run clubman (C grade) C grade numbers now start from 251 and over. Got to keep my number for this season as I have had it for 10 years and will be old enough for Vets next year.

Cool story !

When it did look like I was going to have to change was going to follow in the footsteps of a great French man and change the 2 to a 9 Smile

Was running 437 for a long while then I moved to Alaska. Anchorage has to be even numbers and the spring before my first season here Jesse Masterpool passed. I had known Jessie since he came over to me and introduced himself at Honey Lake when he was really young on 60s.I did a lot of riding with him at Mustang Motorplex when Jerry owned it and also made my way out to his ranch for some moto to. So now I run his number in remberance.
This is my 09 450. I will be running the same number on my 350 this year

I use to run #927for years, no real reason why.

I now run #797, it was my good friends number who passed away last year in a small plane crash. I did it for him and has been very good to me since I started running it.
