I know they lost the 100K bonus when they decided to combine the Championship

The entry fee's have gone up , I think the purse is the same it has been for about 5-10 yrs.

Ok thanks!

12k.

So the guy that was leading the halfway point at the Nascrap race tonight got 200k.

Not the winner. the half way point of the race

So it takes 9 wins in supercross to make the money of half a race.

Essentially, 70th place money in PGA golf tourney or last in NASCAR money.

It's a *(&ampWink ( DISGRACE. Don't get me started,

Last place in the 250s should be getting 12 grand.

They give the 20th place guy $320. Might as well just kick him in the nuts.

I don't think we are naive enough to believe our heroes will ever receive golf or even NASCAR level compensation, though

when i see 34th place in some fruity golf match get 70 G's and our boys are putting their LIVES on the line for chicken

feed, it angers me. And it should piss off all genuine fans of this filthy sport. It is despicable.

Sponsorship Monies contribute to the Players purse and an equal rate more sponsor money = bigger purse

In SX more Sponsor money = bigger bonus for management or what ever but never fear they all say they lose money or break even every year.

Ricky Fowler looks like a genius right about now, huh? Cobra, Puma and PGA paid him more this weekend than most of those guys will make their entire careers.

and thats where the problem is...

Nobody be it Feld, AMA or MxSports wants to give a piece of their pie they receive from the races.

Well, there really isn't much "fair" in the way of salaries. A baseball player, golfer, or movie star will make millions in no time. A trauma surgeon, who saves lives daily, makes about $400K annually. Take away the sports or entertainment folk, and life goes on. Take away the doctors, and lives stop. Things sometimes are a bit upside down, aren't they?

I know the purse we pay every two weeks at out little race track. percentage wise i bet we kick the snot out of that.

THe risk the riders take doing this sport, the purse is terrible.

$100,000 purse

Average attendance 35,000
Avg ticket cost $20.00
Attendance x ticket cost =$700,000

Add in sponsorships, parking, consessions and then subtract op cost - still a lot of coin.

Someone is making money - and it does not appear to be the riders.

Get millions of people to watch SX on TV and the purse will go up. Simple, huh?

isn't the average ticket cost at $20 to low?

Do they even have a cheap ticket for $20 cause when we decided to go cheap they were still $45 each. Then when we went nice right under the private rooms were $70.....

IMO $35-40 is closer to the avg.

We need to do payperview for no commercials, better race coverage, and helmet cams for $15 a weekend! Would make the sport bank!

If you want to make money in sports, golf is the way to go.

Anyone know what a guy gets for winning a Feld sponsored monster truck race/freestyle dealio?

What's the outlay? Stadium rent, track building costs, insurance, security etc,I think the food/drink is down to the stadium as far as $8 for a beer goes.I think the prize money should be more, especially down the feild, even if its a second rate sport
