What happened to Nico?

Looks like he qualified but did not start the LCQ? Any reason or a pride thing?

Probably out of shape or strung out

Wish Bill Dill would have used that ride for a young up and comer who works their ass off and needs a chance rather than the guy who's had multiple factory rides, pissed all of them away, steals to fund his addiction and can't even make it to the line for the damn LCQ

Bill Dill or whoever doesn't owe anyone favors, hard work or not. Izzi is a bigger name than some random 21st place kid. I'm not saying Nico's actions were okay, but he gets people talking, gets the exposure.

No doubt arm issues after not racing for years. Don't send to the track a rider who can't grip the bar anymore. A sx track is more difficult than a keyboard!

People talk about Charles manson also, and like said above, For all the wrong reasons.

It seemed like like he was riding good enough to make the main, thought he would go for it.

Exactly. It was not bad for a come back on private equipment and can only move forward hopefully.

I dont judge, I thought he had the ride and seemed to be the desire to compete but DNS on the LCQ which he probably could have made? I was thinking equipment not the lack of trying to turn things around?

Ever heard the phrase "there is no such thing as bad publicity"? People are talking about this team and rider, when they wouldn't be at all if some no-namer was substituted in. Same with TV coverage, maybe. The goal is to get a return on investment, not give back pats for the hardest worker.

When the publicity has to do with a junkie who has stolen from so many members of the moto community it's not good publicity in my humble opinion

Nice last post. Way to go out in flames.

You can't toss around unsubstantiated claims like that in here.

Travel day.

Here's the deal. I'm all for 100 percent more talking about the sport, and 100 percent less going at each other here.

Let's not shit on the guy for being an addict, but kick him in his ass for not making the hard hard fight to stay clean and use the help that's been given to him. There's absolutely nothing in this world harder than that fight especially when it starts from a racing injury. But you're right they're definitely talking for the wrong reasons

He got taken out in the LCQ in the turn after the dragons back step on/off. I couldn't tell who it was but Nico came in hot on him the turn before and that rider took both of them out in the next turn. Was Nico on a team because they both had on the same gear and on yamahas? Then Nico rolled a lap and pulled off to the mechanics area

Im Definitely surprised that he did not line up for the LCQ. He seemed to have a shot at making the main.

He didn't even line up for the LCQ. Was that in the heat race?

Here are his lap times. He had a couple slow ones, but nothing indicating a major crash.

It must have been. For some reason I thought I saw that in the LCQ
