What brand of aftermarket plastic do you like?

Edited Date/Time 1/27/2012 7:35am
I'm going to get all new plastic and would like some feedback as to what kind you guys like or dislike and why. Thanks!!

edit: it's for an '07 CRF250

also, are they shaped different? The reason I ask is because I am having a custom graphics kit made and don't want to spend good money on a kit and not have it fit right.

What kind bike is it for? On my Yamaha and Suzuki I always ran Acerbis. On my Honda I like the way the Cycra stuff looks.

Cycra makes good stuff that fits well. The aluminum bolt inserts always fit the hole.

Cycra here, with the works style front plate. Fit excellent and the whole kit was cheap compared to what I normally spend on plastics for my vintage bikes. Graphcs by One Eighty Decals.

Hah! The best part about that old dull grainy plastic is the older it gets and the more scratched up and worn it gets, the better it looks! Maybe that was their sales pitch??

You want a white rear fender? Buy a couple of cheap rear fenders and take them to your local body shop. Tell them to throw them in the booth the next time they spray something white. There are some pretty good prep materials and adhesion promoters out there to help it stick. They may not be bulletproof, but they'll hold up pretty well. Keep a spare to swap out when it starts looking ratty. An aerosol can of aircraft paint stripper will strip it clean again for repainting without affecting most fender plastics.

thx for the advise. i considered that solution already but the inherent problem with it is that as hard as it is to find a white rear fender for a bike that old, its equally hard to find a cool graphics kit. so once i put the rear fender part of the kit onto the fender, re-painting wont be an option.

One Eighty Decals made my one off Woody Graphics for mine, I'm sure they could make pretty much anything you wanted and could print a couple extras for the rear fender.

one eighty?

i will check them out. thx a ton. you may have just solved a major conundrum for me. ive been stuck without a rear fender for this project rebuild for too fucking long and been too stubborn to just put the green fender that i dont want on. ive been dying to show this bike off.

and maybe now i can finally get a 1800collect mc replica kit for my 2010 crf-r. since it looks like they can do custom stuff.

UFO

In that order

I bought UFO this last time, and it didn't end up fitting all that great, lots of force to get things into place. I haven't had bad luck with them in the past, but I'll probably go back to acerbis next time.

I'd never touch Polisport again. I ordered a full set for my RM125 and when it arrived was some dark, pukey shade of yellow! Looked like a rotten banana. ha. So I sent it back and swapped it for UFO which turned out great.
