What about a "team" event?

What do you think about a team format for a one-off event? Would this be something of interest in the US? Could something like this be incorporated into the Monster Cup? Teams of 2 pros are entered or maybe even a pro team of 2 plus an amateur and a super-mini to create a team of 4? You could have one-off teams entered as well maybe (Team Seven or Team Privateer or whatever). Maybe add in a $500,000 prize for the winning team?

Thoughts?

Red Bull obviously!! Think about it, The Monster Cup featuring the Red Bull Team Challenge! Add the Rockstar Holeshot award and you've got one energetic event!!

And I know the Des Nations are basically the same thing... so was that one off "SX" event they ran last year.

Didn't they used to do a season long manufacturer's cup or similar?

The team races at my Grand Prix races were the most fun. I'd Love to see it but logistics with sponsorships and all would probaly not make it feaseable.

I like the idea of an actual team race. Not sure how it would work and can't see anyone being up for it, but i'd love to see all Geico guys vs Star Yams vs PC Kawi vs TLD KTM etc... Could be fun!
