I'm a fan, and last night was a great ride, but that was an uncomfortable interview to watch. He seemed wound up pretty tight to the point of stuttering over words. Anyone else think so?

In his defense he hasn't exactly been in front of a camera all that much and the dude was in some pain!

Spot on: He did just fine given his level of experience in front of a camera and with a broken bone in his foot.

He is more real than some of these inarticulate talking heads who can do no more than repeat "and a " and "awesome" over and over and spurt out sponsor names.

I think he will get a lot more exposure in front of cameras if he keeps up his early season pace...

He probably wanted to get it in before they cut to go to the aftershow of the 'World Series of Sandcastle Building'

Great ride though , looks worth every cent they are paying Barcia

When Weston Peick does a post-race TV interview...

Viewers in Japan think Godzilla has been unleashed.

Like moto726 said, I think it's just lack of experience in front of the camera. He wanted to take full advantage of it and thank everyone he could think of while he had the chance. If he keeps this up, he'll have plenty of time to get comfortable in front of the camera. Excellent performance last night.

John Force style! Awesome night Weston! One of the true riders that worked from the back to the front, it's usually the other way around.

Geezus.......some of you just like to find anything to criticize. As others have said, he doesnt have a ton of experience on camera, was in pain, and I'm sure he wanted to make sure to make good and sure to thank his sponsors and supporters. I think he did just fine and should be proud.

I'm sure the JGR team has some people on staff somewhere that will help him with his PR if need be.

He doesn't have a whole lot of camera experience, he had a broken foot, and he just finished a 20 lap battle. He probably wasn't thinking too much on the interview. I'm so stoked for him!

Never realized how big WP is, now I understand his comment about some of the French riders trying to take him out in Paris and he would just lean into them and they would fall.

Thats pretty harsh, he just rode the toughest 20 laps of his life then less than 5minutes after he's put in front of a camera.

Riders like him weren't brought up in the spotlight compared to someone like Roczen who's been in front of the camera since he was 14 or 15.

But Im glad they did interview him, he deserved it and its nice to see a difference face.

I thought he did well. Had very little time, but still managed to get his sponsors in and a short statement.

I'm a fan of Weston's, but it's 100% fact one of the reasons he was not picked up for a big ride in years past was his marketability. Yep, his interviews (plus his brashness and bike kicking habit, ha). It's been mentioned in this thread and the few in prior seasons about his "geez, can the guy even form a sentence?" Well, try speaking into a mic while adrenaline is pumping and you're a Type A personality and you're a bit rusty with the whole TV thing, or at least not polished to spew canned cliches ala a few of the superstars/podium regulars. But it's probably why those guys are superstars: they get the big rides in part because they are talking, walking sponsor machines.

Weston rules.

Weston sounded fine to me. Hell of a race. I'm a big Tomac fan, but I was just as stoked to see Weston in 3rd as Tomac in the lead. Great job Weston.

I for one am so pumped for Weston he is doing incredibly great actually it's kind of ironic and funny that he is absolutely dominating over Barcia when you compare the two how much they paid Barcia and from what I heard they picked up Western because Yamaha wanted them to not because they were seeking him out which makes it kind of funny that he's running so much better than Justin is I'm so happy about it and think its really funny is that things are going this way I hope he continues to do well
