Some of you here may already know about this but I had never seen/heard anything about until I saw it on my newsfeed today. Doesn't really matter now but boy could that have ruffled some feathers if this photo was leaked back then.

Big deal. The pic of Stew and Betley has been around for a long time. The other is just another from that day.

What's much more interesting is Emig's recent statement the Keith McCarty never saw Stew ride before turning pro.

At least Honda knew enough to take a shot.

Nope but I remember my buddy had 3 of them all with major valve train problems and he spent more time trying to start it than he actually spent riding them. I've rode a 12 and a14 and 15 and didn't mesh well with any of them don't get me wrong I'm sure there's certain riders that the honda suits them perfectly but I didn't like them.

Because Kawi spent their money keeping and in a sense betting on James Stewart rather than matching what Honda offered Ricky. Then a couple of years later Honda took their money and tried going after James Stewart with it so Ricky went to Suzuki.
