Just looked at the weather report. Rain with 50.000ºF for the weekend. We`ve had awesome weather for the past month or two. No rain for few weeks with at least 70ºF everyday. It will start raining on thursday before MXDN .Dizzy

Its just not a world class venue without powerlines huh?

Are they still going to hold the event when the Russians invade later this summer Kongols?

I heard Dungey is already having problems with bike setup.
Seems that so many tracks, be they MX or Road Race , Drag circuits etc etc, are placed right by powerlines. I see a few of the US Nationals tracks, and Road Race circuits, with major power lines going through them, just as I see here in Oz, and at many World GP circuits, Road Race or MX.

It's the sort of "no go" zones for other 'development', that we so often get left with............................. . Cripes, a few of the spectator mounds at Eastern Creek, are still on fire, underground (tyres, nasty, toxic waste used as bases for some of them).

It's a miracle motorsports people don't all have 2 heads, with how so many of our venues are placed in 'suspect' areas.

I'll know if I can do my regular 'contra deal' trip to the MXDN, in a couple of days - I'm flat out getting caught up / ahead on various work commitments, so I can do a fly in, then fly straight out trip to Latvia.

Just had a little realization-moment there, that's all.
Especially wanted to see how JH84 would hold up against the world's best on another surface than sand, especially since he would have ridden the 350 (although I believe his posture may be better for the 450).

Can't make it there, have to work. Sucks!

Is the schedule local time? Is Latvia UTC+3 (same as Finland)? Which means if the races start at 13:00 on Sunday, it's 12:00 in Sweden?

The dirt on that track looks amazing! I hope the weather holds off for the race , or at least doesn't get to wet. Looks like a really fun track to ride!

And no Tixier!

So no American MX 450 champ, the World MX1 champ is racing MX2, the World MX2 champ was not selected for his team (Don't the French federation look like a bunch of twats now!)

Though having the Australian MX1 and MX2 and Canadian champs all there will make up for it, so we are all sweet. Smile

The frenchies look real stupid now.
They chose 4th place in favor oft 3rd and 1st. I'd love to hear an explanation (i can somehow understand why you can pick him over musquin but over tixier is ridiculous)

Because they picked the team in July when Tixier wasn't as good as he is now. Ferrandis is just as fast as Tixier he just needs to stay off the ground.

Sweet booters on the first part of the track.

Hey Kong would it be faster to take p85 on the south side of the river or just use the A6.... ? (traffic)
