"You said you’re in for 250s in Charlotte though, right?
Yeah.

But as soon as you said that last week everyone’s like wait, [Jeffrey] Herlings, if he comes back…he’s supposed to be back next weekend and good to go by then. So that’s going to be a battle."

"Definitely. I’m looking forward to it. He’s obviously a really fast rider. I’m interested to see how things go. I watched the European stuff quite a bit and I know he’s definitely the real deal. Coming off injury is hard but at the same time he’s going to be fast. So, we’ll see. It will be interesting. I have a lot of respect for him, and from what I’ve heard I think he kind of respects me. So I’m sure we’re going to do some more banging and kind of have a little bit of that attitude. So I’m sure it’s going to come down to some interesting stuff."

Sounds like he's got more respect for Herlings than most Vitards, but that ain't hard!!
Fair play to Webb, growing another fan here! I hope he does really well

Cool. I've never really liked Webb that much, but I have a huge amount of respect for him, and I'm starting to like him more. Really looking forward to it. Should be highly entertaining

How long before they start referring to each other as "that guy". My guess is after their first moto together Laughing

When they battle on 450's that's when we'll really know who's the man

I love the way he addresses FIM WORLD Championship as "European stuff".
Shows lots of respect to 3 time National 250 champion J.Herlings. How many national titles Webb has?

Until the "European stuff" stops hemorrhaging all of it's top talent to the USA, it will remain "European stuff".

Uh, other than a couple flyaway races and the recently added US races, the GPs are a European championship.

In some ways I am not looking forward to these two meeting up at this race because no matter what the outcome the Vital MX forum will have explosive diarrhea shortly after.

No, they are not. Herlings has 2 world 250 titles, and 3 national Dutch titles. For me, national title is national title, FIM World title is something more. Only SX, MXGP and MX2 are under direct FIM wing.

We can argue if AMA nationals are on higher level then Dutch nationals, but in the end, it's just a national title. No hard feelings guys, but money isn't everything.

I respect all pro riders, really respect, but they need to be a little bit smarter about this "stuff".

No, we really don't need to argue about whether the US National series is on a higher level than the Dutch National series.

I think that Webb is showing some respect towards his competitors now that he got the out door monkey off his back.

Webb will show him how much his 3 titles matter when he whoops his ass on American soil.

Not only hometown USA race, but it's in Webb's home state so he'll be really motivated. Some good racing ahead of us! Gonna be fun.
