Why would that gripe the Stewart fans, no shame in his performance tonight.

Because the excuse is that he wins unless he crashes. Well, he didn't crash tonight did he?

He has to get a first to fifth place start before they consider it straight up, and then only if venus is rising and there is a low tide on the 4th

Just having fun, they both rode great. Stewie didn't have it for him tonight and thats all. Next week could be a completely different story, RV has alot of confidence though so it should be a good one!

RV could win this title without ever making a pass on Stewart. RC won 1 title and was gift rapped another vs James and only passed him once straight up for a win in SX . (Stewart was hurt from landing on Preston a week earlier) No other rider has ever passed Stewart while he was leading a race and won it. Its a pretty amazing stat.

Not true. I was there, sitting adjacent to the first turn. 7-9th I'd say. Definitely mid-pack.

Editorial corrections:

* RV has passed Stewart 3-times in Main events this year.
* wrapped
* Preston landed on Stewart after James recklessly pulled out in front of him while Travis was mid air over a triple.

All for now,

Stewart had four near crashes. He could trade those in for one actual crash, so no it wasn't straight up.....lol

No, James didn't crash in Indy. But he was still feeling the affects of the Daytona crash, and said he hadn't ridden at all between Daytona and Indy.

I was watching the race last night, and didn't see any Reed, Stewart, Villopoto, Dungey, or Canard fans ON the track, which is where the racing happened. There were plenty of the stands, though. I find it odd that fans of the ______ rider (insert whichever one works) worry so much about how it affects the fans of the other riders. Or maybe you're all just a really caring bunch.

I really wouldnt call that race straight up since james stewart was definitely not all there and he got a last place start. I am a js7 fan and i can honestly say that RV has been riding really good this year and been almost mistake free which is why he is in the points lead and not js7 right now unfortunately.

As long as every gate falls at the same time, EVERY RACE is "straight up"

Ok so lets see within 1 lap he was in top 5, on second lap he was 3.5 behind RVp- He moved into 2nd with 9 to go and could see Poto...RV was having obvious difficulty with lappers and James almosty ate shiaat two times running the same pace as Poto....

I suspect that RV will stay out of any really intense battles, He will make moves when he can and protect himsel;f like he did with that pass on Reed. And when he feels he's able he will whip everyone including James straight up like he did tonight.

So let me get this straight, if James crashes during the race it's not straight up and now if he crashed the week before it's not straight up? Ok got it.

You are correct sir. Took me years to fully understand the straight up thing. The bottom line of this "theory" is if your guy does not win the race it was not straight up.

I really wish a Stewart fanboy would post the rules for a “straight up” win so we could clear up the discussion, Also, in those rules could you please mention if said rules apply only to James, or to all riders lined up on the gate. I’ve never read a post where a Stewart fan said he lost straight up, even though he has not won every race….how does that happen?

RV is 25 pts in front of everyone and everyone has raced all the races..................RV is smoking the field and is currently the best, you cannot dispute that, there is no arguement that will discredit this........

You think stewart really cares right now that he has the fastest one lap speed on the planet?...........doesnt mean shiat and it doesnt win championships...............and that is goal here...... no ifs, ands, or butts..........CHAMPIONSHIPS

currently bubba cannot beat RV in a series.......plain and simple

expect JS to ride outdoors

It's only straight up if Stewart wins. Everyone knows that. Anything else is another riding getting lucky or getting a gift from Stewart.
