Winter Garden, Florida -- The famed "Jammin" Jimmy Weinert was a pioneering motocross and Supercross champion during the early years of the sport in America; he now forms his own team for competition this year.
Jimmy Weinert Racing fields several riders this season from amateur to the professional ranks; Ray Leybovich, Robby Marshall , Sethro Rarick and John Dowd will all be riding the Kawasaki machines under Weinert's direction.
The team prepares for their first event of the season happening this weekend at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. Rider Robby Marshall, supporting number 774 will race his first 450 Supercross. His past includes several events in the East Coast lites class under a privateer status. Marshall brings personal sponsors of Shift gear and Spectro Oils.
After the debut in Atlanta, the team will travel to the infamous Daytona event on March 6th during the crazed Bike Week celebration.
Jimmy Weinert Racing is supported by Kawasaki, Jet Boots, Maxima, Crower Power Performance, Renthal, Rad Mfg, Fox Shox, Fly Clothing, KPS Suspension, Dunlop, Mechanixwear, Cycle Motion, DeCal Works, Hinson Racing, and BBR Motorsports.
