How should I clean my white boots? I have a pair of fox instincts and they are starting to get stained. Any advice on how to clean other than the power washer? What cleaner is best for white boots?

Soak them with Shout. Works for the bike too.

I haven't tried them on boots yet, but has anyone had any luck using a mr clean magic eraser? At the risk of sounding like a stay-at-home mom, those things are badass. They seem to get anything off of everything.

Those things are awesome. I use them all the time for cleaning moto stuff. I quit buying white boots though.

I started using simple green bike degreaser foam and it did a really good job. Just spray it on, let sit for a few minutes, and rinse off with the water hose.

because i have moved into an apartment with nowhere to hook up my presure washer i went by a quarter eating car wash.
hung the boots up on the clips they have for floor mats used the tire cleaner option moved over to the bike then after a feew minutes rinsed them off.
way less effort then trying to spray them with my presure washer at home.

i use soft scrub with bleach, its made for cleaning bathrooms and toilets and stuff but the bleach helps bring out the white, just be careful with it near the black leather spots and anything that's not supposed to be completely white.

I just spray mine down with Simple Green then scrub them with a brush. I haven't tried a Magic Eraser on my boots yet, but I feel like they'd work like a charm. My white ProFrame gets red clay imbedded in that matte finish and its hard to get out. A Magic Eraser makes it look like new.

I dunno about the Magic Eraser on boots, but don't use it on the fenders/plastics of your bike. It'll remove the scuff marks, but it'll also take the glossy finish with it, leaving you with dull plastic in the spot you used it.

+1 for Simple Green. Dilute per instructions, spray on, leave a few mins, scrub the worst bits then power washer off.

I have Instincts in white and they just start to change color eventually. If you keep them clean they will stay white longer, but eventually yellow. I used tire white wall cleaner from the auto parts store and that worked pretty well.

I just started using shout with a soft bristle brush. Works really good and it's cheap.

This stuff right here is the the best cleaner I have used to date and it's super cheap. A user by the name of Traktor on here turned me onto it.......and the name says it all. " Totally awesome " $1.00 gets you a 32oz bottle.

Oh....and I've worn white boots for the past 15yrs. Just like the looks of them better.

Rick.....you can pick it up at the local dollar store. They sell the 20 something oz spray bottle for $1.00 as well.....which I bought a couple because I wanted the sprayer. But then I went and just bought a few of the big 32oz bottles , put it all in a small garden sprayer. I'll rinse off all the big stuff off my bike , mist the entire thing with this stuff , let it set about 5mins....then pressure wash off......it kicks ass!

Some guys on here said it would cause damage to anodized stuff and so forth......after about 6 months of using it.....it has never dulled anything. And the bike is about as clean as you could possibly get it. It really is amazing. I would say and least twice to 3 times more powerful then simple green.

It is corrosive as hell,if you blow that stuff with a pressure washer into wheel or suspension bearings they will fail if not taken apart and greased regular.

I wore white boots in summer because of heat from sun, sitting in staging at regionals or LLs can be long, the white is much cooler.

Shout is not corrosive. It has a neutral pH of 7, which is the same as water.

One of the nice things about Shout is that it works so well that you can leave the pressure washer in the garage. All you need is a spray nozzle on a garden hose. That is the key to keeping water from contaminating your bearings.
