Yeah I agree I feel like it was more than just sore. And also I have no idea why they would want to hide the fact that something was broken or it was more than just "sore".

Maybe they want to hide it from outside sponsors or something of that nature? A lot of rider always seem to want to hide things like this for some reason.

Not sure who you get your info from, but I can promise you that Coop did not have a broken collarbone.

He drilled it into the ground. His shoulder was actually ripped completely off of his body. The delay was to make sure the superglue was completely set.

Either that, or...

He was optimistic about a fast return, but it took slightly longer than he expected to get back to full strength.
