While I'm not exactly smitten by the sheer number of ads on most websites, I do understand their importance. However,over the last few days I get some auto play video ad when I'm on Vital. Not on every tab I open, maybe every third or fourth one. It's always way down on the bottom of the page and extremely obnoxious. I'm using Firefox as my browser.

Any suggestions on how to make the video ads not play unless I click on them? Thanks.
Thats a type of virus called adware, I had it happen to me once and was extremely annoying.

AdWare is really annoying. I have the same crap going on with my desktop PC. My Mac book and I-Pad don't have them. It's got nothing to do with Vital, you have a virus.

Actually, I'm on a Mac and have seen a couple over the last couple days. Notably, JCPenney, and ads for the new Planet of the Apes movie.

I'll check in with the crew when I get back to the home office this week and see if there's anything we can do on them.

There are browser add ons that will require a click to start video.
For FireFox, see Flashblock.

For other browsers, go to google search and enter ...
block autoplay in

I'm on an IPad and I never get the auto play adds from vital, but, I do get the banner adds. I just stretch the screen so I don't see them... That being said if anyone knows how to get rid of them it would be much appreciated!!!!

TWMX is the worst and I won't even go to their site anymore, you have to watch that same Toyota commercial for every vid you click... I just stop doing it.


Am I the only one that remembers the good ole days of the internet when there were no commercials on any site, funny how we used to spend hour upon hour on the internet and now I only check a few times... I wonder if there is a correlation to all the stinking adds? Probably not I'm sure!?Whistling

I have AVG and CCleaner and dont see the ads. I'm running win7 and Chrome browser. Run the Cleaner and Registry cleaner and see if that helps.

Thanks. Tried CCleaner, but no change.
Checked tools for pop up blocker, it's enabled.

The ad doesn't pop up, there's always an ad at the bottom of the screen. The difference is that sometimes it's a video ad that just begins playing.
