I love the machining and detail that goes into the JGR bikes. The completely custom parts and anodizing they do looks awesome.
I'm just not a fan of their graphics, too busy.
Chads plastic kit on a JGR bike would be the ultimate for me!

Both look great. I'm glued to those air filters on Bam Bams bike!

I didn't realize wienersnitzel was a part of the JGR team. Tha's cool.

Few questions. What are the three adjustments on the shock? And what is the sensor coming off the exhaust?

What are we looking at here? Is that a steering dampener?

The adjustments on the shock are high-speed compression, low-speed compression, and low-speed rebound. Same style system as what the current production CRF450R and RM-Z250 shock use, but just a larger works version.

Yes, that's a Showa steering damper, quite a few teams use them.

The sensor on the headpipe is an O2 sensor, it's used in data collection.

My vote is for JGRMX. I think the 2015s looked even better. I wonder what Factory Effex did to make them switch to Dirt Candy?

Chad's bike for me. It's weird that the same exact motorcycle is one of my favorites (Chad's) and least favorites (JGR).

It's hard to pick a winner, they're both so bad ass. When it comes to looks (of a bike) I'm from the camp of "less is more". To me, Yamaha's look their best when they're not cluttered with a bunch of graphics. Kinda like putting steak sauce on a steak that doesn't need steak sauce. This being said, Chad's factory bike wins the "looks" category hands-down. Now as far as trickness and attention to detail, JGR with their in-house fabrication has got to take that category. Overall, I voted for Chad's factory bike, but IMO, there are no losers between the two bikes.

ML, what is the gusseting for on the factory yamahas swing arm for? Added rigidity?

This question could probably be answered with a quick search but I figured I'd let the pro handle it haha

Exactly what I was thinking but couldn't put it into words. Nicely done.

An example of "over blinging" the bike is the gold bolts to match the chain. To me it distracts from the other cool features of the bike. Just too much in my opinion.

Both bikes are pretty sweet though in terms of trickness although JGR seems to put the icing on that particular cake.

Chad's all the way... Looks classy.

Beardy's is a little on the Circus side for me.

Go Chad!.

complaining about to many stickers is kind of dumm in this sport. pretty sure all the teams would like to have cleaner graphics but someone has to pay the bills and they want publicity. those sponsors are not their for charity.

I can't speak for everyone, but I wasn't "complaining." The question was which bike we preferred and I prefer the look of less stickers all over the place. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure every team would love to have the problem of "how do we make all these stickers look good?"

Funny, all of the idiots that complain about all of the sponsor decals should think about future of the sport. Unless your team is funded by the manufacturers, how do you think these support teams survive? They don't just do it for the love of the sport, they are beholden to their sponsors. So yeah, the honda and suzuki bikes are clean, but they're paying the bills!

Still doesn't mean it's well designed.

Reached out to JGR about that and they said Cycra makes those for them. Reached out to Cycra and they haven't gotten back to us yet. Ill bet they will say that's is a factory part that they wont sell to the public, which is silly because they would sell a truck load of them. I hate riding 1 hour and having a caked air filter due to those open intakes on those powerflow shrouds.

The question was, which bike do you prefer.

Not, which graphics kit shows a ton of sponsors who want a good ROI.

You're being the idiot.

Wait, wait, wait. You mean companies pay to have their logos put on the bikes? That's some mind-boggling shit right there, I had no idea.

I'm sorry, I change my vote. I vote for the bike with the most sponsors.
