Recently I've been getting emails from various moto company's, unrelated to anything I've signed up for. When I unsubscribe this comes up

You have unsubscribed muxxxxx@mac.com from the following mailing lists: AOMC.mx + Vital MX or whoever the company is. This was the last one I just received.

Did you register for the TC 300 ? I did and I'm getting a lot of those emails too, I believe we agreed to it somewhere when we signed up for the give away.

You think they gave away that 300 out of the goodness of their heart? I guarantee that bike didn't cost them a thing after ad dollars and contact info were sold.

And just to be clear, I'm completely OK with that.

Yep, nothing is "free".. Your details were sold to generate money.
If that offends you, don't sign up for anything, or read the agreement, although that is usually written in a way that makes reading it laborious.

A chance at a 10k bike, throw some emails in junk and/or trash. Can we do it again?

1. Chance at free bike
2. Fill form without reading the conditions
3. Complaints

It's like that with anything/everything free.

Meh, a few emails every now and then is a small price to pay to keep the lights on in this place and the free bikes rolling in.

He might be too torqued. Definitely not to spec. What's the clinical term for his condition Peely?

The TC Giveaway (and all other giveaways this site has done) used non-encrypted forms. I brought it up to them and there was no response. That means your email, name, address, and whatever else you put into that form could have been picked up via clear text. So yea, that entire sweepstakes was riddled with security flaws.

It is kind of funny how this site doesn't use encryption..it's not even expensive or hard to install SSL certificates.

We’re in the process if converting from http to https as we speak.

Yes, if you entered the Dream Bike Sweepstakes you opted in.

Sounds like some people should have read the user agreement contract.

I read it and I'm not upset. But just know that if it's not encrypted who knows where else your data is going.
