kid needs to get a start and we may see something better, his lap times havent been too far off the front, if he can holeshot with reed and stewart back in the pack we could get a 3 way? although at this stage josh grant looks awesome..

Man I sure hope we don't get a 3 way. I'm happy to see Grant up in 3rd. He was always crazy fast but just had the worst luck on the little bikes. He's looking great.

Not to be a naysayer but I don't think that RV could go in the 52s for 20 laps.

Grant is rockin' fer sure. Glad to see it. With a little more practice he could be a serious player. Or a more serious player. Sideways

JG has to be enjoying the move to 450's right now more than RV.

Neither do i, but i think there is promising signs for the next few years. It's not going as well as some people were so sure it would..

I think RV is just trying to be cool and not get hurt. Outdoors is where he will pour it on. Just a guess on my part though!

Its only been a few races . He has gotten bad starts in both and crashed in both. His lap times are just a notch slower than Reeds and Stewarts . He will be up there he is doing just fine .

He seems to ride a lot more aggressive in his heat races, bad starts and tentative riding, maybe being a little to "safe" in the mains. I am sure as the season moves along he will get more comfortable and start pushing the envelope.

Sure it is. He has pulled the holeshot in both his heat races and granted it isnt the main event he is still faster than 98% of the field. He will be up there just wait

No He is faster than 80%. People on here were trying to say that he would take it to reed and stewart.

maybe he is trying to stay a little safe for outdoors? but does he really need to? stewart isnt doin outdoors only a couple maybe isnt he? and he is probly the ony one that could come anywhere close to villopoto outdoors really? i think he should just let it all hang up and see how he goes wat has he got to lose, he could miss the first round or 2 and still win the championship

The thing I have seen in the main is his starts. It seems he had the same problem 800 had when he first started on the 450. If he got a start he was up in front but if not he could never cut through the pack. I have noticed a lot of rookie riders having this problem when they move up to the 450's. They seem to finish where they start. Very few have managed, but I think the best at moving up and being able to come through the pack was Reed so its cool to see Reed talking to RV after the races.

I am surprised at RV so far... I expected more from him. I guess he needs some more time. Mid season he should be doing much better.

If Alessi took him out that's pretty sweet. I hope ryan retaliates, but he'll probably avoid it since he's being all "mr cautious fourfifty-guy".

Props to Alessi.

RV won't beat Alessi outdoors and if Reed decides to race they won't beat him.
