After a few years in California, I'm back in Brazil and this weekend I made a video at a local race series.
This was the final round of a 5 race series, with the champion in the 450 class getting a car as a prize and the 250 class winner getting a motorcycle.
This championship is called Copa Minas Gerais de Motocross, and it's one of the fastest growing series in Brasil. Prize money is pretty good for Brazilian standards, with the 450 winner getting US$ 2,000 per round.
It's a shame the it rained a lot in the preceding days and also on race day, making the track pretty muddy for the 2nd moto.
The overall winner in the 450 class was Jean Ramos, a name some of you may recognize from racing the 250 West SX series in 2012 and 2013 with some decent results.
