Have to share it in its own topic (posted it in the Tortelli vid too) , as it wasn´t something we saw much of. The bike that made Jeremy switch brands pretty much. If memory serves me right, he only raced the 97 CR250 at Bercy and fukouka....?

That was a awesome race! The whole time I was thinking Albertyn was going to crash! On the last lap I thought he had it then bam!! That sucked so bad for him!

That was the problem...he had the aluminium frame. He should have waited for the regular aluminum one.

How cool was Jack Burnicle as a commentator! He was excited, knew the sport and what happened behind the scenes, and he had some killer comments.

Like at the start to the 30 sec board chick: "get out of the way, woman"

And this race was epic! Look at how much headshake Albertyne suffers in the tunnels, the front was vibrating like hell!

Yeah he was good! You could tell he knows moto when he was talking before the start.

What's amazing to me is how many top guys they used to get in Bercy. Now , IMO, greed has changed that. When the promoters have to pay guys like JS a crazy amount of start money it's hard for them to afford anyone else. I personally would rather go to a race that is stacked with very good riders battling for the win instead of going to a race where there's one super star that gets all the start money and because of that has no competition. You can see in this race from 1st through last was pretty much all top ama SX stars when now you have JS , and then a couple guys like Brayton and maybe 1 or two others. I'm not blaming Stewart ,or anyone else for that matter, I just think something has to change or Bercy will lose its mystique. I don't know the exact dollar figure a guy like JS gets for start money but I bet they could spread that money out to 5-10 guys of slightly lessor caliber and make them all happy and have great racing.

Amazing race. Hell of a get off/save from Albee at the end. That could have been real bad.

Good find. The 97 motor was a beast. The suspension and frame were its worst enemy.

Great video, I did not know he ever had ridden the 97 alum frame CR.

Jeremy had Supercross hard-wired into his DNA.

thankyou for posting that!

Thanks for posting that. I've been looking for pics of him on that bike at Bercy but seem to have lost that magazine that covered the race. I seem to remember he got bad arm pump. He could'nt believe that he got arm pump. He hadn't had that in years.

I have another video of him riding one in Mexico with Ryan Hughes. Think it might be the "Steel Roots" video.

I hated my '97 CR250 the first time I rode it. But I had a good suspension guy and he got that thing DIALED! I loved that bike after he worked on it.

Yeah.. I just watched Fleshwound Films "Steel Roots".. MC was riding the 97 CR a few times in that video too. Not racing though. They show him crashing a couple times on it.

I find it interesting that there are no Pictures on the net anywhere of him on one..

I had a 97 and thought it was a good bike fc did the suspension and I hardly noticed this "horrendous" frame problem imo it was a good bike for me the seat was hard as a rock but other than that I liked it and it was faaaaaast
