Vegas Supercross alone

None my friends or brother that I travel with or even go to these races can go. Have any of you done Vegas Supercross alone or traveled to any Supercross by yourself.

I have done the SF SX when I lived in Reno, drive Down to the Bay Area and got a hotel close to the BART train so I could get to the Stadium. I had fun with the people around me for the most part but I have to admit it's not the same as going with a bunch of riding buddies.

I really wanted to go to the ATL SX last year but didn't work out. Wanting to take the wife and my 6 year old, looking at Vegas, Foxbourgh, ATL, Tampa/Daytona ... not to highjack your thread ... but wondering anyone's input.

I met up with some fun guys from here and other boards at the Vegas SX.

Unless it is with my wife, I almost always go alone. Races, concerts, movies, etc. Travelling in groups is exhausting. Solo is way easier.

Went to my first SX solo. 2002 A1 from NJ. Was fun but I didnt stay long enough and didnt do anything that wasnt at the stadium.

I've been to Motocross and Supercross alone. If I want to go, I go, regardless of what everyone else is doing.
It's always been worth it, but yeah, usually my friends go.

^^^this! I’ve met up with a few people from various forums/FB interest groups at events, always fun to have a beer and meet. I think it’s even more important now since so much of our “friend” list is virtual these days.

You know it's funny one of the best years at Supercross my girlfriend and I met another couple at the hotel and we went the the after party together...super fun and hung out with Chad Reed and Josh Hill. Had we not gone off with strangers we probably would have just crashed out that night.
