The gate is a trip, i cant remember ever seeing diamond plate across one? what is traction going to be like crossing that??? im guessing a little more than a SX gate.

I think this track will suit the ex GP guys. It looks much more technical and slower than the other tracks so far, more like a GP circuit.

The one thing I don't understand with these Press Days is, doesn't it give the riders who attend it an unfair advantage?

It must be amazing to have that much control over a bike that those guys do. Awesome.

Lived in DC for 3 (07-10) years and Budds was my "home" track.Made every national and the MXDN where RV crushed the world, epic RC Bubba battle, mud fest, so many good memories. Loved it. Having grown up in AZ, ruts, hills and GREAT dirt were a new experience. Awesome track, run exceptionally well by someone who gave great props to the military. Vid made me miss it even more. For those who attend enjoy and have a beer for me. Semper Fi

Ahh, the memories of MXoN 2007 at that place - that was as epic as epic gets.

That's a wild looking start gate...

I believe the diamond plate goes across the opening you see at the bottom of every gate. It's been that way at Budds for ages. I believe they just took the plate off so people don't mess with the gates. It won't be that way for the races....

This track would lend a hand to someone trying to make the show on a 2-stroke.

AHHHH now that makes a heck of a lot more sense! i thought it sure looked weird and that there was no way that piece could be welded on top of the gate itself. It was late last night and i had a long day Cool

It does look strange with the covers sitting like that.
