Read an article on racer x just now stating the the USGP at Charlotte had been cancelled and is rumored to have been replaced...Does anyone have anymore info? I'd put a link to the article but I'm on mobile right now.

Edit:just saw the other thread, sorry!

Let's be honest, a majority of American fans and riders don't give a s#it!
The usgp is going to die.

High Point would be awesome IMO...

And 1 place I've never been but looks like motocross heaven is Mammoth Mountain. What would a USGP be like there??

I just want to see it at an established mx venue.

Parking at mammoth is already an issue for the amateur race. It would be 10x worse if they had a gp there. Plus the altitude. How many of those guys ride at 8000ft of elevation?

I'd be there. Probably couldn't get a better turnout elsewhere.

I hope it would be at one of our national tracks but most likely they will just find another speedway to goto.

Yes I can't wait to hear what track will have a planned GP for a few months before it gets cancelled and put at some shitty track like Qatar.

No, but, as Chugger said, you could hold a race, in a country that resides in Europe. For instance, Spain could be a country where it is held in Europe.

I'm guessing that whichever track that hosts it will host the MXON the following year provided it passes the test.

Hopefuly somewhere like Red Bud/ Millville.

The old GP's at Unadilla and Carlsbad were successful because there were always American riders there. Only a limited fanbase is coming out for GP guys but if you mix in a dozen top Americans you will have a crowd anywhere. How many at Charlotte and Glen Helen last year, 2?

I agree. Racing was better when tracks each had their own personality, different riders were better at different things. Now most tracks are cookie cutters of each other. Same dirt, same whoops, same jumps, blah..

If I wrote the checks...

Mammoth and I'd have MX Sports run it in conjunction with the folks on the mountain.

In Canada...I'd have one at Deschambault.

How about Australia, great weather, fantastic people and most of the world already speaks fluent Australian!

It's got a nice ring to it, " the US GP bought to you by Straya!"

The way things are going, outdoor motocross in the US is seemingly being fazed out.
