Team USA rented a local track here for Wednesday and Thursday before MXDN. Thinking of going to take a look how they practice.

So what do you make of Canard himself saying he understood DeCoster's choice at the time, based on how Tomac had been the better rider up to that point?

So you think DeCoster should have based his decision on the next 4 motos in the future?

Wonder if Trey's history with injuries played into the decision? But he sure has been "on it" recently.

Last year was promising for Tomac, I think he deserves another chance regardless of his performance compared to Canard.

The right guy was chosen. Tomac was riding much better than Canard when the decision had to be made. I love trey, but if this was any other rider in the exact same position trey is in no one would even bring this up.

They'd still probably secure it,too many other teams have guys that won't make the top 20 with due respect, and maybe too many riders out to upset things,I was gutted when Herlings crashed out, things seemed to go downhill from there on Sad ,I hope it's a great race though, love it when these guys get together!

The exact same thing happened last year. Decoster picked Barcia and the last few rounds Canard picked up the pace and was faster than Barcia. What do you do?

I'd really doubt they'd secure it over Belgium, France or Germany if they ride like they did this past weekend (2nd motos). They all mainly have guys who can run top 10.

Isn't there more to the decision than "who's fastest at the moment"? Team support, shipping logistics, rider schedule/commitments and so on? Just a question from someone who knows nothing about the details. It sounds like we have a fairly solid team. Go get 'em fellas.

What I make out of that is that, Trey being a Christian, is instructed in God's word to esteem others greater than himself. Trey is humble. I admire him all the more.

2007, 2010 and 2017 (scheduled).... 3 times in 11 years isn't anything to complain about, and more than any country should get imho (and yes I include England and France in that)

the schedule and rules are changed all the time and yet people still hold onto something said about 6 years ago as gospel, you can do better Peely

I wonder how cool it would be if the next time the MXDN was held in the USA it was at one of the huge state fairs. Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa usually bring in 100K on any given day. Huge crowds and fun for everyone especially the foreign visitors. Gotta be a great media op as well. Just a crazy thought.

Show me a track in USA that would be willing to pay 1 000 000 bucks for a MXDN license or would be able to. There is your answer. We get a support from our government.

well now the answer is out there (ie. the schedule has been changed) hopefully it will never come up again (fat chance)

not sure how i can do better than answering the question though, but as I said, 1 MXoN every 3.67 years isn't too bad... so now you know Smile
