How about my buddy Liles .

He raced here in the age groups when I got back on huskys in 2000. We had serious fun battling for a plaque. The guy still wanted to win and would run right tbru you.

Not sure his wereabouts now.

Best MXDN photo...

Jeff Ward, third and final moto in the legendary mud of Unadilla 1987. The scores with Belgium, USA and The Netherlands were very close and the track was a brutal mudpit with several bikes becoming stuck and abandoned right in the middle of the track. In the end it turned out that Johnsons victory on a 250 in the moto was enough to secure a USA win but Ward couldn't count on that and ripped a 2nd place after losing his goggles 30 minutes earlier in the first corner!

Stanton had some key 250T rides. MXdN always brought the best out in Stanton.

BIlly Liles 92 ride in Australia would rate up there IMO, infact that whole team ride would be one of the best, no one wanted to go, but those guys still won,

and the 1996 team of MC, Lamson and Emig were so far ahead of everyone else that weekend,

The track in Jerez had some massive jumps . I think I remember Joel.Smets grumbling it should be called the SX of Nations.

This.
What was the race where he went from way back to 3rd or something, and took out a Belgian guy on the last lap to win the MXDN? I think it was the 500 class.

Here it is, Vimmerby, Sweden in 1990:

"The third and final 250/500 moto was do-or-die for Team USA, and it looked like they weren't going to do it after Ward's shock blew, forcing him to drop way back through the field on the sandy Vimmerby track. Stanton, who had been involved in a first-turn mess, was charging from the back. He needed to catch and beat Geukens, the same man who was being offensive in practice. Stanton knew exactly what he had to do.

"In practice, Geukens follows you, passes you back and forth,” he explained to Racer X in one our Greatest Races pieces. “It's stupid, and I got tired of his BS all day. So I put him down in the back. I parked him. He screwed with us too many times and I got tired of it.”

Stanton's takedown of Geukens at the very end of the race meant victory over defeat, extending the streak to ten in a row. And what happened between Geukens and Stanton after the race? He went looking for Stanton at the podium, shook his hand, and said, "Congratulations. But I'll remember it for next year." "

For best 250 2 stroke ride, I would have to say RC in Belgium when everyone else was pretty much on 4 strokes and he killed everyone in the sand...USA lost though....

RJ was not even in db's ball park in 1986. O'Mara was on his ass on a 125. Wardy's best ride ever might be 1985 250 MXDN

Closer - Stanton. Stanton saved the US from defeat many times while he was on the team. He was a best in the MXDN

Remember seeing this live back in the day. TP199 rode like a maniac that MXoN.
Another remarkable usa MXoN feat i saw unfolding live was RC beating the world on a 250 cc 2 stroke against 4 strokes in the Belgian sand at Zolder 2003.

Villopoto 2007 smoking everyone on the 250f. I wish RC would have been 100% healthy cause that woulda been an ass whooping.

It's a proper time to remember a Marck De Reuver. at mxdn 2004.. Smoked (allmost) everyone in 2 stroke. It was a great career, Marc

O'Mara 86 easily the best 125 ride.
Hannah '87 gets my vote for second best 125 ride.

Lammy's ride in Spain was unreal. He won a moto.
