Okay, two-stroke fans, get your tissues ready, this one's for you. I was in the Suzuki race shop this afternoon, and they had this one floating around. It's a works titanium cone pipe from a '94 250.

Yes I did. This is where a internet rumor about Suzuki bringing back a tricked out 94 RM250 as a 2013 model gets started, right?

Yeah, but instead of RM, they'll call it the FP (FacePalm).

Now, How come we cant have a pipe that looks like that on a 4-stroke?

I think it would be so aesthetically pleasing..... As for the performance side of things i have no idea lol.

And if some kid in Buttfukville got a hold of it he'd probably spray it flat black with a rattle can so it was all Metal Mulisha sick looking and then try to sell it on Craigslist.

Anyone have an educated guess what that is worth?

I've never seen a pipe made from that many pieces before, probably never got used because the season was over before the pipe was done.

Probably not worth very much. But what did it cost to build it? Now that's the couple thousand dollar question.

Is it lighter than a stamped steel pipe? Titanium is obviously lighter, but once you add the weight of the welds, maybe not?

Doesn't look like they used much, if any, filler rod though.

Obviously you are not the only one. There is a company in France that recreates custom pipes. I'm thinking they wouldn't do it without a market.

And here's an article on how they do it. (Not sure if google translate gives you something that is readable)
