A CRF250 weighs 227lbs so that means the Factory Honda 450's are 221lbs. That is just above the 220lb minimum rule and a full 29lbs lighter than a stock Kawasaki KX450f.

I hope this is a trend that makes production.

A stock CRF250 and a Geico Powersports CRF250 is probably not the same weight. I mean they probably make the bike at least a little lighter. That makes it even more amazing that the Factory 450 is still 6 pounds lighter.

Take out 15 pounds of air and put in -15 pounds of helium makes it 30 pounds lighter.

"Trey Canard's new Honda CRF450R is a work of art. According to team tech Dean Gibson, TC is so pumped with his bike, that he repeatedly raves about it at every test session. An interesting fact shared with us by Gibson: Trey's CRF450R weight is SIX pounds lighter than his old Geico Powersports Honda CRF250R race bike!"

Amazing how light that 450 is.
I wonder how it compares to Reed and Windham's 450's

I hope you're kidding. I ran an after-market one for a while and it was more trouble than anything. The Honda clutches are smooth as butter as-is.
