Right handed bowl turn after the first set of whoops. OR First turn if for some reason they'll need to go wide to triple into that section.

I like it. Especially the back-to-back whoops with 180s after each.

Still too many straights. Can I please complain about this crappy track AGAIN?

Was that Vegas last year or the ME cup where they had the same section but on the other side of the stadium? Was pretty fucking sweet watching those guys send it into the sand.

Pretty sure it was ME cup

Not yet. See, and you said this was a waste of time: http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-Related,20/Its-time-for-a-new-Guide-to-VitalMX,1318867 Tongue

BTW I definitely agree about the first turn too. If they make it to where the fast line requires going wide and tripling in, it'll be a great place for passing, especially since it would messing up that triple could mess up the entire section. Looks like a pretty solid track.

I thought that "Guide" post was funny too. No one can pass on a straight, there are way too many on this track though. 1 straight okay, 2 eh, 1/4 mile long section hell no. put jumps on the stupid monster alley already. not just the one tunnel jump...

"No one can pass on a straight"

I guess you didn't watch the Phoenix SX? Lots of passes were made at the end of that long straight

I hope that sand section is the same for the real track as it is in that map...

Out-braking is part of the turn at that point. Show me footage of 2 450's 1 behind the other coming out of a turn starting a straight-away, both drag race down, and the 450 behind blows the doors off the guy in front him half way down the straight. I dare you find me that footage. Unless you have massive HP advantage you aren't passing on a straight.

I think lots of passes can be made between the long flat jump and the finish line, especially in the 2 whoops lanes.

With these passing spots I see Dungey salvaging the championship if he doesn't get a start. But if he starts upfront he will have to ride not too conservatively as Millsaps, Anderson and Webb should be fast here.

In 250 it may be a good track for Ferrandis, I would not be surprised to see him with the championship contenders mix. I hope not as the 3 will be all out and all he needs is to stay healthy for outdoor.

I think you're forgetting that straights provide a good place for lappers to get out of the way. Passes may not have been made on the straight but it facilitates passing IMO

I'm going to go out on a hunch. Chad Reed to podium. Hard pack dirt, back to back whoops (with any luck, beefed up because its Vegas), technical rhythm sections, and nothing to lose after a crappy season. Something to hang his hat on during his off season.

Sincerely,

A Chad Reed fan

I hope so. I thought the same thing when I saw the back to back whoops.
The track is gnarly, and you can't just punch it everywhere. Timing will have to be perfect in some sections.

I can't wait.
