Has anyone purchased gear from ebay.com..... Specifically from sacalsurplus? It has a 99.7% positive feedback. His prices are extremely cheap…. And prices are what gives me concern. I would rather buy authentic brand than knock off brand (I am not saying this outfit is selling knock offs. I know from prior outside studies on high end brands sold on ebay a high % were knock offs). Please advise.... Thank you, bd
Example: $99.00 for JT Racing gear (pants and jersey)

FYI I have bought fox gear for $80 on motosport.com and a fox v3 helmet for $180.
JT is selling like shit, so they sell cheap.
The items you purchased from motosport were closeouts. Example, (1) size 36 Fox pants. That is a fire sale after the company offers its first sale (example 2012 gear sale because 2013 gear is right around the corner).
Although ebay is now a venue for retail sales, it was initally an online auction site. Additionally, LVHS had an audit of its goods sold on ebay with 85%+ of them knock offs.
If there are people on here who have purchased from sacalsurplus, are satisfied, and feel the brand they purcahse is authentic.... I am going to buy. I can buy two sets of gear from sacalsurplus for the price of 1 at BTO and motosport.
xnationalwrench.... my intution is telling me the same. My wallet wishes someone would say its legit. I will purchase from BTO.
That sacalsurplus has 1501 ratings and an average of 99.7% positive feedback. I'd say you're safe to cash in on that smokin' deal.

Again, I wouldn't be worried about it. I've had a fair bit of experience with ebay and if they were selling knockoff, it would show in their rating. In the past 12 months they have only had ONE negative feedback, and it was because the guy ordered silver and it showed up white.
$129 for the ALS2 helmets is a pretty smokin deal, they were about $400 when they came out. I wouldn't wear one but it's a good deal for someone in the market for a cheaper helmet.
