I wasn't on the boards last night so I'm not sure what happened. I saw him go down but he got right back up and started going again. He was dead last and then got into 20th......and just stayed there? Is he hurt or did the bike get damaged some how? I was thinking maybe he banged himself up.....but the wreck didn't look all that bad really? And if there was something wrong with the bike......he was still out there putting in laps? Wasn't making ground.

He gave like 23 seconds on lap 2 and 15 seconds on lap 5 to Josh Grant who was the guy that Tomac and Milsaps was chasing (18th). Tapia and Partridge was just rolling around. Josh did not have big problems, so if you give him 38 second head start in 20 lap race, there is no way Eli could catch Josh..Even if he was the second fastest guy at the track
I have faith he'll come back swinging next weekend. But he put himself in quite the hole as far as points go.
My two guy Tomac and Canard are who I'm pulling for this season. At least Trey had a great showing!
The Shop
However you sure can lose it, and unfortunately I think Eli is out of the Championship hunt now, it will be about playing spoiler.
This can all change if several others fail to make a main or finish in the back of course.
CRASH OR WIN........
He won't win the championship because of it, but he is gonna win a few.
Pit Row
RV2 did have a race where he did not qualify for the main and still won, however he was already up top AND the next closest racer to him also crashed out in the main (JS7) so it balanced out. Roczen could also have a bad race, but then you also need Anderson, Dungey, Canard and a few others to also have a very bad race. Dungey is historically consistent, Canard has been inconsistent historically but Roczen, his bad days generally mean lower top 10, though he did miss a main last year in the 250's.
Tomac mathematically is not out, but it will be very hard to come back from this hole.
Post a reply to: Tomac?......What happened after the crash?
