Osbourne popped his shoulder back in last week at Glen Helen; if that's any indication..

Glad there was no leg injury as it looked like he could have definitely popped something with the way his leg was extended as he went down. Hope to see him back next week, but that may be wishful thinking.

It would be incredible if he could race next week.

Regardless, I hope he's not hurt too bad, that was dirty!

I figured they would know a dislocated shoulder is not a separation. If he has a separated shoulder that means he's done. If it's a popped out shoulder only then he will be fine. I've popped mine out in a heat race and had bodnar pop it in and raced the lcq with almost no pain..

That arm looked fooked when he went down. I know looks can be deceiving but it was flipping around pretty good. Hoping for the best.

Dislocated and popped back in go together better that separated and popped back in.

My shoulder dislocations have been a nightmare, but then there are others who can pop it back in and race the second moto, I hope tomac is in the latter group of people!

That crash was brutal. Glad he's ok otherwise. Hope to see him back soon.

Glad to see RD win after that. I don't dislike Kenny but I like Dungey more.

I swear to God i heard Jason say the diesel about 40 bizillion times during broadcast.

I thought his left leg was going to be messed up the way it seemed to catch under the bike and then they had his boot off, but when he was on the Asterisk cart, he had weight resting on that foot, so that was a good sign. His arm was obviously the focus of attention. I didn't know a separation was different from a dislocation.

Sure enough....quite a bit of a difference:

Severe dislocations aren't good....

Maybe Bodner should have popped Kevin Love's shoulder in

Yeah that was brutal. There was no tumbling or sliding to disperse the impact it was just a smack and abrupt stop.

I hate to see anyone crash and get hurt, but it will make for a better season as for points its now close again. I just hope he will return 100% and we have a close season on our hands.

Even if he is back next week, that crash is going to bring him back to a normal human being pace. It will make for better racing when he is done imitating Bubba

not necessarily.... type one is not as big an issue as you think.... type 2 is a bigger problem but everyone handles them differently. those two almost never will be operated on. type 3 is BAD and will probably be worked on and more than likely is a season ender.

i have had the first 2 types (and a type 2 in both shoulders moto and football injuries) and was still able to race and even still compete in archery albeit in some real pain. riding and racing was not so bad with the type 2 and i was physically able to ride the following week but drawing a bow really sucked and it was about 5 weeks before i could draw the same weight i was originally used to.

a good friend had a type 3 AC separation and was unable to ride for a little over a year.

I thought he'd definitely done his leg in at first the way his left leg seemed to give way as he walked off the track. Either that or his boot was undone. Seriously hope the shoulder is the only injury and it's not too bad.

Had a type 1 and it wasn't noticeable after a week, didn't have it fixed until I had two more dislocations (second one caused further damage).

Hey Jeff, remember my "bruised heel"? It was broken, in half. TongueLaughing

Something to consider, is did he suffer any rotator cuff damage? I tore mine during a dislocation, that was put back in at the track, that was 20 years ago, I'm still limited by it. No overhand baseball or throwing for me!

From a GEICO Honda PR...

"Eli is receiving further evaluation following a dislocated shoulder in the second moto," GEICO Honda team co-owner Jeff Majkrzak said. "The Asterisk medical team was able to put his shoulder back in place at the track, and Eli is otherwise just fine. We hope to have him back next week."
